Principal architect Daniel (Jamie) Simoneit has been involved in the design industry for over thirty years. After earning his Bachelor of Environmental Design from Miami University + Master of Architecture from Washington University, he worked for both residential + commercial firms in Chicago before founding Z+O architecture + interiors in 1997. Specializing in large + small scale residential architecture as well as commercial interiors, Jamie has established a network in the Chicago suburbs + beyond with projects throughout the United States + Mexico.

When it comes to design, Jamie dreams big while paying close attention to detail. He envisions each project as a unique opportunity to blend gratifying aesthetics with the function of a practical space. His passion for sensible yet creative design naturally lends itself to high quality work, where each detail is a valuable contribution to the project as a whole. Jamie also has a profound appreciation for historical buildings. With architecturally significant projects, he seeks to preserve the integrity of a historical structure while incorporating additions that complement the original structure.

Katie Simoneit is certified designer with National Kitchen + Bath Association, + has extensive professional experience in the design + fashion industry. She draws on her background to use colors, materials + textures to create inspired, welcoming spaces. Throughout the creative process, Katie's resourcefulness + attention to detail allow her to maximize design for any budget. She loves partnering with clients to capture their vision + make their space feel like the best version of home.
